Give your senior people their afternoons back
AI and workflow automation for leadership teams. A KDTS company.
Most firms do not have an AI problem. They have a process problem: figures re-keyed into three systems, approvals chased by email, a month-end that rests on one person’s spreadsheet. We fix the process first, then decide where AI belongs, inside the security of your own Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
What we do
Five services. Most firms start with one and add the next when it has paid its way.
AI readiness assessment
Where AI would genuinely help your firm, what data it would touch, what you are already paying for, and a short list of what to do first.
AI use policy and governance
A plain-language policy your staff can follow: which tools are approved, what client information may never go into them, and who decides.
Copilot and Gemini rollout
Licensing decisions, then the permissions clean-up that has to happen before an assistant can search everything your staff can open.
Workflow automation
Client intake, document assembly, approvals, month-end reporting. The repetitive steps that quietly consume partner and manager hours.
Executive reporting
The numbers you already have, pulled out of the systems that hold them and put into one brief you can read on a Monday morning.
Start with the process, not the tool. A badly designed workflow does not improve when it runs faster.
The questions leaders ask us
The short answers. The long ones are in the briefing for leaders.
- Is our client data safe if staff start using AI?
- It depends on which tools, which plans and which settings, and most firms already have staff using free tools nobody approved. We find out what is in use, move the useful work onto business plans that do not train on your data, and write down what may never go into any of them.
- What will this cost us in time?
- Less than you might fear. A readiness assessment needs a few hours from leadership and short interviews with the people who do the work. After that, we do the building; you approve decisions and test the result.
- Where do we start?
- With one workflow that costs senior time every week and has a clear owner. We would rather deliver one change you can measure than a strategy deck that sits in a shared drive.
- Will Copilot or Gemini expose things it shouldn’t?
- An AI assistant can surface anything the person asking already has access to, including the salary spreadsheet someone shared with “everyone” in 2019. That is a permissions problem, and it should be fixed before the licences are switched on.
How we work
The same five stages for a single workflow or a firm-wide rollout.
Security comes with it
Flowsmith is the automation and AI practice of KD Technical Services Inc., a managed security and IT firm that has looked after professional firms since 2010. AI adoption raises questions about identity, data access, licensing and privacy obligations. Those are the questions KDTS answers every day, for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace alike.
- Your data stays in your own tenant wherever the tools allow it. Where a workflow passes through a connector or outside service, we tell you where that data goes, including whether it leaves Canada.
- A person reviews the output wherever a mistake would reach a client, a regulator or a bank account.
- Every automation is documented and can be switched off, so you are never locked in to us or to a vendor.
Start with one conversation
Tell us what is taking too much of your senior people’s time, or what your board has started asking about AI. We will reply within one business day and suggest whether a short call is worth it.
